I found a sweet ass place to eat with free wifi (if you buy something) and great food. It reminds me of those quirky little deli's in Massachusetts that I miss so much. It looks like I am going to be eating here quite often, when I am in the office around lunch time. (its near to the office)

Awesome. Anyone in or near Nashville -I recommend it highly.

On 41A in Oak Grove, KY -just right outside Ft. Campbell. This Cow probably has been a landmark for years. I remember it from when I was living on Ft. Campbell. I tried to take a good photo of it while driving past. It is some kind of steak house - I never ate there.

Allergies acting up again. Sinus pressure and seasonal allergies. As well as allergies due to dogs/cats. Got to get to a doctor sometime soon and maybe get some allegra.

Crappy TStorms

So much heat in the South makes for so much T Storms - playing havoc with sophisticated electronics everywhere. I have to constantly power down and unplug my PC out of fear of it getting wiped out. (with 18.5GB of music -not written to backup CDs)

18.5 GB is equal to 18,944 MB and 18,944/700 = 27.06 so I can see how burning 28 CDs could take some time....

Dont have a DVDRW otherwise it would take less CDs ..

New Av

Its been so hectic lately. I have been back in TN since 5th May and I am just getting used to working in this new job and its great. But what is hard is money management. We have so many freaking bills its bullshit. But anyway, I am using the above image as my new av I found on Cloneshit.hu Its hilarious. It looks like someone manipulated a sign in a customs or ticketing area somewhere -like a train station.

Its great how I can work from home and also how each day is different. Like tomorrow for example. My morning Appt. Cancelled so I basically just have a 2pm and a 530pm.

My time away in Tampa, Florida

Its been a month now that I have been in Tampa and haven't even updated this blog at all. Mostly because I have been extremely busy. I will try to update this a bit more. It has been a treat staying here with the nice weather. But also at the same time a bit stressful being away from my family. 10 weeks is a long stretch but it should be OK.







We are eating like Kings here. Which probably doesn't help me lose weight.

New Job

New job starts on Monday. Will be working here in town for a week and then its off to Florida. I am unsure if I will have internet access during this time. But I hope I do. If I do I will continue to post but if not, well then you will know why I don't post. Will find out the answers next week. Going to have the dog groomed. Will see how that goes as his little patella has been giving him problems lately. Also need to get his shots soon.



the Massachusetts registry of motor vehicles requires that I return my licence plates to them. So this whole troubling process of changing over licence plates is getting to be a pain. I also got my new Tennessee Driving license. The photo is so bullshit its not even funny. They were still using 1995 technology cameras and its utter shite. Anyway I got a new Registration a new insurance and a new license and everything is legal. And it felt sad surrendering my MA DL which I paid $75 for to get a TN DL which I paid $19.50 for. The photo on my MADL was at least good. They fattified my photo on the TNDL.

Poor damn dog is stuck outside in the snow. Though barking and howling has gotten to be less of a problem. It still happens -like 0600 this morning.

Newest Avatar / Alaska Pictures

This is the full image. I took it back in July 1997 when I visited Seward, Alaska. At Exit Glacier there is a hiking trail where you can hike up and view the Harding icefield. I took this when we started to run into some snow. It was a beautiful day. The sun made the air temp to be about 70 degrees F and there was still a couple of feet of snow on the ground. As we neared the top there was probably more snow than just a couple of feet but I had no way of knowing.

Photo #2 then (not an avatar but maybe I'll make it one later) you can see Exit glacier down near the bottom. This is the same glacier that I have a picture of me touching down the page a bit (I think it was a post in Januari)


This was taken in July 1996 on the Dalton Highway driving north. This patch of fireweed was just before crossing the Yukon River Bridge. There was a forest fire before you can tell due to the black trees and black dead open field. This fireweed grew up in its place and it was very beautiful. I don't know where else fireweed grows besides the arctic but it is lovely.

I don't remember if I posted this one or not. Its of me on that same trip up the Dalton Highway. The time in the photo was about 11.30 pm (I was a skinny bastard eh?)

Farmer's Loop just outside Fairbanks. Wanted a photo of the Moose sign. I had seen many moose on this road before -this one and the Steese Highway.

Again I don't know if I already posted this one or not, but it was taken on 6th, Sept 1997. Driving down to Skagway for the Klondike Road relay race of 171km (?-forgot) but I thought it was really cool how the trees were cut to form a line on the border. (US/Canada, Alaska/Yukon) My right foot is in the YT and my left foot is in Alaska

I think this was when we stopped in Destruction Bay, YT. Stay tuned to the blog, I will post loads more. I still have a big box of the pictures I need to scan into the PC. So I'll try to do that sometime. Enjoy.

Alone at the weekend

Well the wife is gone to Memphis, until tomorrow sometime. Daniella went to stay the night with family. So its just me and the dog. It snowed last night a light dusting. If this had been a school day they probably would have closed school here (the wussies!) No superbowl parties to attend this year. It might just be some down time (chill) with my iPod and also watching some DVDs

Bad Dog update

Well regarding the Bad Dog situation, It has not improved at all. This morning Daniella woke up for the second time at 5 am because of this dog. She just got back to sleep and the damn dog starts barking again. I don't know what we are supposed to do now. Its obvious this prick who lives next door doesn't give a shit. His teenage daughter was out riding around in the field behind our houses today on their dune buggy making the dog howl and bark, conveniently during Daniella's afternoon nap. That really pisses me off. Will keep updating about this.

Bad dog

Well we have been having a bit of a problem with the neighbors dog here. These people leave this dog out 24/7 regardless of the weather. The poor dog is pent up in a cage and has worn down the grass to mud. The dog is covered in mud and it probably gets pissed off. So it howls and barks at all hours of the night. -Very un cool. My wife wrote them a letter and stuck it in their mailbox today:

Dear Neighbors,

I would like to bring to your attention a situation that is getting somewhat out of hand. For quite a few weeks now your dog has been howling, crying, and barking during the day and throughout the night. We didnÂ’t pay much attention to it because we can tell the dog is not very old, so we thought it was possibly a phase that would go away with some attention. However, it has since gotten worse. For the past few nights the dog has whined and barked enough to arouse me, my husband, and my seventeen month old child from sleep multiple times through the night. The dog has even aroused my daughter from her nap time during the day. Very early this morning was a perfect example. We put our daughter to sleep and most of the night was fine. However, the dog started to whine and bark at approximately 4 A.M. and woke all of us up. I got my daughter back to sleep and was almost back to sleep myself and the dog started again Thirty minutes later. This happened again at 5 A.M. until finally my husband and I both put in ear plugs to stop hearing the noise and praying that our daughter would not wake up again. However, as you can imagine, we cannot sleep with ear plugs in every single night due to not being able to hear our daughter if she awakens and needs us. As stated before, she is seventeen months and still needs monitoring through the night.

I am hoping that maybe this is just an oversight for you. Perhaps you did not know the dog was being so bothersome because he is on the opposite end of the house from your bedroom, whereas he is adjacent to our bedroom.

I sincerely hope this note will not cause any ill will between us and bring your attention to a matter that should be taken care of. We are big dog lovers ourselves and have one of our own. Granted, he is an inside dog, but if he were an outside dog and being bothersome, we would want to be told so we could remedy the problem. We hope that this situation can be taken care of within a short amount of time.

She wrote the original letter and this is the finished version -I edited a couple of things. Last night (24th) I heard the dog barking at half past midnight and howling at 2:30 am. We will see what comes of this. EDIT: After the letter was dropped yesterday he moved the dogs pen over to make a new mud spot (see photo taken today). I don't know if this is the result of the letter or just him trying to save his lawn. (dumbass) Photo was taken from my bedroom window to show you how close he is and how much of a nusicance he is at night.

New post

So I am going to update this thing. New Years I did in fact get drunk off my ass. When I was puking from 12:15am to 5 am New Years day all I could think of for some reason was the theme song to Trinity from Adam Curry's Daily Source Code. Since his DSC # 305 was one of the last things I listened to before drinking. I wrote Adam an email telling him this. He mentioned it in Wednesday's DSC # 318 at about 26:18 I know for sure its going to be a long time before I eat Hot wings again. See the group I was with ordered hot wings from Hooters and it was the last thing I ate before downing about 500ml of Grey Goose. So I haven't got the photos from New Years yet but will post some older photos up.


This is me standing in Portage, AK on about 13 July 1997. We stopped here to eat and have a bathroom break since we were riding on the bus from Fairbanks. It was 10 hours to Seward.


This was in 1998 (Summer obviously) up in Ft. Wainwright, AK. I jumped on some random guy's Harley for a photo opportunity.

So thats about it really. Haven't updated this thing but also wanted to say I was offered the job that I wanted. I start on 20th Feb. So looking for some part time gigs to do until then. I will be heading to Florida shortly after I start. I should have web access for the 10 weeks training I will receive. This is sort of a short update and will try and be more active in the future. Sorry my site sucks :(
